Ear infections can be either bacterial or viral. Ear infections can occur in the middle, outter or inner ear. Ear infections usually clear up on their own, but patients tend to seek intervention as the pain and discomfort may become unbearable. 

Symptoms include:

• pain or discomfort inside of ear
• persistent pressure inside of ear or ears
• drainage (pus-like fluid leaking from ear)
• severe cases may cause hearing loss
