Hermorrhoids
Hemorrhoids are caused by swelling in the rectum and anus that can cause pain, discomfort and bleeding. Most often hemorrhoids are caused by straining during bowel movement; extensive sitting, chronic diarrhea or constipation as well as obesity.
Treatment for hemorrhoids include drinking lots of fluids, non-carbonated beverages, eating lots of fiber can keep bowel movements regular. Also, using an ice pack can ease some of the discomfort. A warm bath can sooth and relieve some of the pain and itching.
Medication intervention can provide some relief, but it should be used in conjunction with some of the previously listed recommendations along with an over-the counter aid such as Miralax.
