Trichomonas
Trichomonas is a common sexually transmitted infection (STI). It is also referred to as trichomoniasis or “trich”. Trichomoniasis is caused by a one-celled protozoan organism called Trichomonas vaginalis. Most people who have the parasite cannot tell they are infected. In women it infects both the urethra and vagina. While in men, it only infects the urethra.
