Conjuctivitis is an inflammation or redness of the lining of the white part of the eye and the underside of the eyelid caused by an infection (viral, bacterial, or fungal), allergic reaction, or reaction to infrared or ultraviolet light.

Conjunctivitis, or pink eye as it commonly known, occurs quite common as your eye can be exposed to many types of microogranisms. Conjunctivitis can be acute or chronic depending on organism and severity of symptoms.

Symptoms can be alleviated by daily warm compress, however, some patients may opt for prescription therapy. Please note, if symptoms do not improve, in person evaluation is necessary.
